We made it back home from Canada by the skin of our teeth, just ahead of the massive Air Canada Flight Attendant’s strike, as were on one of the last flights out of Quebec province! <whew!> While in Canada we created some interviews for our show (see last two weeks shows), and now that we are back we’ll catch up on some significant Dr. Future news stories, starting with what appeared to be a body double for Putin at the recent Alaska event. Really? We look at the evidence..  Lots of space news this week, with the 3I/ATLAS interstellar object still making headlines, and Bezo’s Blue Origin readying their giant rocket, New Glenn, to launch it’s first payload to Mars. Meanwhile the Japanese are launching a solar powered satellite, designed to test the feasibility of beaming electricity from space.  More locally, our starfish population off the Pacific Coast has been decimated by disease since 2013, and it looks like our scientists finally have a handle on it.  Now how can we save these creatures from further suffering? EP. 125 Future Now Podcast - Guest - Dr. Future's 95-year-old Mother, Irene Lambert, on Sight Loss, Love & Self-Help, Early Memories,, Airships, Iceman, Meta AI Glasses & Robo Guide Dogs

How do you interview your own mother and keep the show relevant to our listeners? Fortunately dear mother was a major influence on me especially with my interests in tech, science, and psychology of the human family.  So it is with great pleasure that we present you with tales from Irene Lambert, recently honored in Parliment for the remarkable achievements she has made in this lifetime!
Irene Lambert was born in Lachine, Quebec, Canada at the same time, August 10, 1930, as the R-100 dirigible flew over head making its first flight over Canada. As it was the dawn of the age of Airships, all the nurses and hospital staff rushed out to see it, leaving Irene alone as her first experience in this world.  Being the eldest of three children in a very loving family. Irene was diagnosed at ten with Retinitis Pigmentosa and lived with diminishing sight and then complete blindness. For many years she and her late husband Dr. Robert Lambert fought and won many battles for the rights of the disabled, especially the blind, while pioneering helpful new tech. In 2021, Irene Lambert was honored with the Chris Stark Distinguished Advocacy Award by Barrier Free Canada  in recognition of her lifelong contributions to disability rights and accessible communities around the world. And now, at 95, she is is still with us, with more memories to share and tales to tell! Enjoy..

EP. 124 Future Now Podcast - Interview with Drs. Stephen Sideroff and Hal Myers on what's Now with Bio/Neurofeedback and Optimal Health

I have known Drs. Stephen Sideroff and Hal Myers since I was an undergraduate at McGill University in the 1970’s, when Hal & I were in Stephen’s Psych class on designing the protocols for our various science experiments. Not just a student, Hal had just started a company called “Thought Technology,” and was designing equipment for monitoring and influencing human biosignals with one’s awareness, for better health. It was the dawn of bio/neuro feedback thinking in psychology and medicine, with Hal scribbling out schematics for new devices at his seat while Stephan taught us how best to test the effectiveness of our tech and ideas. Who would have guessed that the three of us would vacation together 50 years down the timeline, where Hal has 40 employess at Thought Tech, and Stephen is a professor at UCLA and  internationally recognized psychologist. His latest book is “The 9 Pillars of Resilience, The Proven Path to Master Stress, Slow Aging, and Increase Vitality.” Enjoy!

Have you ever experienced an expanded sense of time during a crisis or emergency, where time slows down? Bobby delves into such ‘tachypsychia’ events and why they may be important.  The conversation this week Wildfire Season is here!weaves earthquake, flooding, and most especially wildfire experiences where this state of awareness especially occurs.  Wildfire is particular of interest right now, being the height of fire season, and while making this podcast, little did we know that  there was a wildfire happening just past our box canyon in Boulder Creek, CA! <shiver>.  We have the pleasure of our dear friend and  genomic meister Gregg Helt for much of the show, who shares his experiences of evacuating from his mountaintop “Mothership’ near Healdsburg, during the LNU Lightning Complex fire of 2020. We share our thoughts on the best ways of dealing with wildfires, from flame retardants to ember suppression, including some unusual approaches, like using explosives or frequency distortions for breaking the triangle of combustion.  Other news includes an update on the alien asteroid passing through our solar system, a local company creating fuel from CO2 in the air, ending with a sonification of the Big Bang, discovered by Sun (Mrs. Future).  Enjoy!

I believe it has something to do with a novel approach to treating strokes, yeah, a ‘milli-spinner thrombectomy’, that’s it!  A game-changing 11-90% success rate for clot related treatments, amazing.. Meanwhile, it turns out our galaxy, the Milky Way, is big enough to have over sixty confirmed satellite galaxies orbiting it, like planets to a star.  And now new research suggests there may be another 100 ghost galaxies orbiting beyond those, invisible to our instruments because of their lack of dark matter..??? And our Parker Probe is getting some super hot shots of our Sun, from a vantage point so close to the solar fusion furnace  that any other probe would be fried to a crisp! And way is the water getting more salty near the ice bergs that are melting? Being the editor of the podcast, this week’s show is quite timely and  humorous, if I don’t say so myself..I do! Ido!  On the top of the news - Another interstellar object from who knows where, made of and containing who knows what? All we know is that it was forged in another star system, alien to ours.
 
And then there is the massively intense flooding in Texas and the Midwest.  We present you with the findings of the comprehensive generalist and scientist Stefan Burns, and all the factors to consider in creating such disasterous weather..We, of course, share a few personal stories of relevance..

With the Middle East heating to a low boil, we are compelled to think about it all and our role in creating the reality we wish to live in.  If indeed thoughts create reality, let’s create a good one, or ones, if you are into the Multiverse!  Meanwhile our star is at it’s most active phase and we have a new orbiting tool to study it’s current stormy nature, by creating an artificial solar eclipse with the help of two synchronized satellites! And is there a 5th force in our universe? Larry and Mary delve deeper into that question this week. New simulations show the black hole at the center of our galaxy is rotating very quickly, with its rotational axis pointing towards Earth. Hmm…Mrs. Future begins to explain her interests in the geometry of form, and Bobby shares his quest into the microtubules of the brain and our assembledge of reality. Once again it is the week of Apple’s annual World Wide Developer’s Conference, with many announcements of the latest and greatest from the computer/phone company.  Naturally we have Taylor Barcroft  on the show to help with our report on what’s new in the Apple universe. Liquid glass design, anyone?  And can you believe the fiasco over this week’s riots in LA? And why oh why were so many Waymo robo-taxis destroyed? Meanwhile, this is a big week for Chinese college entrance exams and how to stop students from using AI? Why shut down AI systems country wide, of course! But…does this really work in a world where our AI allies are always with us? And then there are the non-human bubble ring blowers who share much of their world through this strange form of communications. It appears, for us at least, that there is a resurgence of activity in the Virtual Reality space, specifically regarding the use of an app called, “VR Chat.”  An excellent place to connect with others and have ‘chats,’ it’s also a fine app for creating virtual worlds that can be visited and shared.  Armed with an invite from VR pioneer Greg Panos, we were in worlds for many hours this week, as part of a meetup of the “XR Explorer’s Club,” where we explored a couple of worlds together, as a group! We share our thoughts on this adventure this week.  Sun, aka Mrs. Future, then gives us a report on her online  with Adam Apollo, a futurist, speaker, and teacher who is involved in consciousness exploration, advanced technology, and the evolution of human potential. 
 
The biggest deal this week was the Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas, from which we feature some excerpts of keynote speakers, like Ross Ulbricht, founder of the controversial Silk Road service, recently out of prison.  We also have a clip of Michael Saylor, billionaire executive and big Bitcoin advocate.  Bobby and Sun share their bitcoin efforts, which you may find very helpful.   And this week with end with a report from AI’s Larry and Mary on new research on astrocytes in the function of the human brain. There is a big Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas this week, and Bobby is all over it, exciting times for the robot standup debuts in this podcast!grandaddy of Crypto..Our favorite AI's try their hand at performing Standup, with mixed results.  I think our AI's still have a lot to learn about humor, but hey, at least they are trying! It appears there is a huge reserve of Hydrogren fuel locked in our planet's mantel, more than all the gas and oil reserves combined..all we have to do if figure out how to access it..And while we are at it, check out the massive amount of gold near the Earth's core, enough to cover the entire land masses of our planet with 20 inches of the gold metal! Meanwhile the JWST has been studying the formation of the early universe, with some exciting new info on the role of dwarf galaxies.Closer to home, it appears that hummingbirds are evolving their beaks to better access the sugar water in our feeders, who knew?  Want to see in the infrared realm? Some new contacts may do the trick.Something called "second sound," allows us to create a formidable heat ray.And a new breakthrough with graphene may speed up our computers 1000 times. Summer is here and time to have some 'experiences!'  We just got back from Las Vegas, where we experienced  "The Sphere," a multi-billion dolar media experience, costing us hundreds of dollars each, with a show by the Dead & Company, the latest incarnation of the Grateful Dead musical group.  We have much to say about it!  And from a trip to Point Lobos this weekend, our science correspondent, Bobby Wilder, felt compelled to share two Near Death Experiences he has had, and stangely related to this month's 'solar maximum' of our dear star, the Sun.  Weird things are happening and time to pay attention...not the least of which is the rocketing value of Bitcoin recently. We celebrated the life of a great visionary scientist this week, at the memorial of Dr. Ralph Abraham, father of Chaos Theory and pioneer of visual mathematics.  It was fun to meet those who loved him and those whom he influenced in their trajectory through life. The SPHEREx Space Observatory was activated this month, and is now created the best ever 3D maps of the universe, including millions of galaxies.  Hal Puthoff's personal belief on who ET's are and what they are doing here was revealed in Joe Rogan's podcast with him this week.  We take a look at what he's suggesting.  If you've ever wondered about the life of rattlesnakes, there is now a live rattlesnake channel on Youtube that tunes you into their world, which is quite fascinating.  I particularly enjoyed the clip of a cute  bunny through their reptilian world.  Nature has revealed how she has empowered a form of bacterial life to generate electricity instead of using oxygen for ife energy generation, a fascinating twist. After much controversy, there is new evidence there may be a Planet 9 after all, but very far out in the solar system.   And keep an eye open for a 50 year old Russian Venusian Space probe that is about to crash land back on Earth! Fortunately, most power has been restored after a blackout brought the Spain and Portugal, and parts of France to a standstill on Monday. Or is it? There seems to have been a silver lining to this massive outage, hiding in plain sight.Can you guess?  A clue would be…candles..another would be …neigbors..Got it?  Meanwhile we work with Grok3’s Ara as a detective sleuth, investigating the who, what, and why’s of this strange case of power gone awry..Historical parallels to past European blackouts are drawn, highlighting the vulnerability of interconnected power systems. While the official cause remains uncertain, geopolitical motives, particularly from Russia, are discussed as a potential, though unproven, driver for such an intentional act to test NATO resilience.
 
Also this week, aging in space and what it means for us, galaxies aimed mysteriously at us around Andromeda, Synthetic leaves for fuel and plastic generation, and other topics such as economic realignments, religious influences on global politics, the potential for advanced technology like space elevators and bioreactors, and the development of micro-robots for brain surgery, along with more abstract concepts like the nature of consciousness and the unity of humanity. Welcome back Katy, now an ‘astronaut’ via Blue Origin’s Shepard rocket, along with a group of female friends.  A new approach to cancer therapy looks promising, tricking the body to have a rejection immune response to cancerous tumors..and it appears that certain fungi can help us ‘mine’ gold with minimal environmental impact, and provide a new way to extract the precious metal from remote asteroids. The powerful Atacama Cosmology Telescope in Peru is so powerful it can see further back in time towards the beginning of the universe than any other instrument so far, observing light from only 380 thousand years after the Big Bang..not bad for a 13.8 billion years old universe! And this week Bobby explains why Grok is so far ahead of everyone else in the AI horse race.  Hint: it has a lot to do with nVidia..And for the animals, there is an amazing new 'freeway' for migrating creatures across the great 101 Freeway.  And then there is a huge magnetic anomaly in orbit worth mentioning, and oh yes, AI's Larry and Mary find a whistle blower's report on the mysterious origins of "Dr. Future" himself..
