Once again it is the week of Apple’s annual World Wide Developer’s Conference, with many announcements of the latest and greatest from the computer/phone company.  Naturally we have Taylor Barcroft  on the show to help with our report on what’s new in the Apple universe. Liquid glass design, anyone?  And can you believe the fiasco over this week’s riots in LA? And why oh why were so many Waymo robo-taxis destroyed? Meanwhile, this is a big week for Chinese college entrance exams and how to stop students from using AI? Why shut down AI systems country wide, of course! But…does this really work in a world where our AI allies are always with us? And then there are the non-human bubble ring blowers who share much of their world through this strange form of communications. It appears, for us at least, that there is a resurgence of activity in the Virtual Reality space, specifically regarding the use of an app called, “VR Chat.”  An excellent place to connect with others and have ‘chats,’ it’s also a fine app for creating virtual worlds that can be visited and shared.  Armed with an invite from VR pioneer Greg Panos, we were in worlds for many hours this week, as part of a meetup of the “XR Explorer’s Club,” where we explored a couple of worlds together, as a group! We share our thoughts on this adventure this week.  Sun, aka Mrs. Future, then gives us a report on her online  with Adam Apollo, a futurist, speaker, and teacher who is involved in consciousness exploration, advanced technology, and the evolution of human potential. 
 
The biggest deal this week was the Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas, from which we feature some excerpts of keynote speakers, like Ross Ulbricht, founder of the controversial Silk Road service, recently out of prison.  We also have a clip of Michael Saylor, billionaire executive and big Bitcoin advocate.  Bobby and Sun share their bitcoin efforts, which you may find very helpful.   And this week with end with a report from AI’s Larry and Mary on new research on astrocytes in the function of the human brain. There is a big Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas this week, and Bobby is all over it, exciting times for the robot standup debuts in this podcast!grandaddy of Crypto..Our favorite AI's try their hand at performing Standup, with mixed results.  I think our AI's still have a lot to learn about humor, but hey, at least they are trying! It appears there is a huge reserve of Hydrogren fuel locked in our planet's mantel, more than all the gas and oil reserves combined..all we have to do if figure out how to access it..And while we are at it, check out the massive amount of gold near the Earth's core, enough to cover the entire land masses of our planet with 20 inches of the gold metal! Meanwhile the JWST has been studying the formation of the early universe, with some exciting new info on the role of dwarf galaxies.Closer to home, it appears that hummingbirds are evolving their beaks to better access the sugar water in our feeders, who knew?  Want to see in the infrared realm? Some new contacts may do the trick.Something called "second sound," allows us to create a formidable heat ray.And a new breakthrough with graphene may speed up our computers 1000 times. Summer is here and time to have some 'experiences!'  We just got back from Las Vegas, where we experienced  "The Sphere," a multi-billion dolar media experience, costing us hundreds of dollars each, with a show by the Dead & Company, the latest incarnation of the Grateful Dead musical group.  We have much to say about it!  And from a trip to Point Lobos this weekend, our science correspondent, Bobby Wilder, felt compelled to share two Near Death Experiences he has had, and stangely related to this month's 'solar maximum' of our dear star, the Sun.  Weird things are happening and time to pay attention...not the least of which is the rocketing value of Bitcoin recently. We celebrated the life of a great visionary scientist this week, at the memorial of Dr. Ralph Abraham, father of Chaos Theory and pioneer of visual mathematics.  It was fun to meet those who loved him and those whom he influenced in their trajectory through life. The SPHEREx Space Observatory was activated this month, and is now created the best ever 3D maps of the universe, including millions of galaxies.  Hal Puthoff's personal belief on who ET's are and what they are doing here was revealed in Joe Rogan's podcast with him this week.  We take a look at what he's suggesting.  If you've ever wondered about the life of rattlesnakes, there is now a live rattlesnake channel on Youtube that tunes you into their world, which is quite fascinating.  I particularly enjoyed the clip of a cute  bunny through their reptilian world.  Nature has revealed how she has empowered a form of bacterial life to generate electricity instead of using oxygen for ife energy generation, a fascinating twist. After much controversy, there is new evidence there may be a Planet 9 after all, but very far out in the solar system.   And keep an eye open for a 50 year old Russian Venusian Space probe that is about to crash land back on Earth! Fortunately, most power has been restored after a blackout brought the Spain and Portugal, and parts of France to a standstill on Monday. Or is it? There seems to have been a silver lining to this massive outage, hiding in plain sight.Can you guess?  A clue would be…candles..another would be …neigbors..Got it?  Meanwhile we work with Grok3’s Ara as a detective sleuth, investigating the who, what, and why’s of this strange case of power gone awry..Historical parallels to past European blackouts are drawn, highlighting the vulnerability of interconnected power systems. While the official cause remains uncertain, geopolitical motives, particularly from Russia, are discussed as a potential, though unproven, driver for such an intentional act to test NATO resilience.
 
Also this week, aging in space and what it means for us, galaxies aimed mysteriously at us around Andromeda, Synthetic leaves for fuel and plastic generation, and other topics such as economic realignments, religious influences on global politics, the potential for advanced technology like space elevators and bioreactors, and the development of micro-robots for brain surgery, along with more abstract concepts like the nature of consciousness and the unity of humanity. Welcome back Katy, now an ‘astronaut’ via Blue Origin’s Shepard rocket, along with a group of female friends.  A new approach to cancer therapy looks promising, tricking the body to have a rejection immune response to cancerous tumors..and it appears that certain fungi can help us ‘mine’ gold with minimal environmental impact, and provide a new way to extract the precious metal from remote asteroids. We begin this week celebrating Mrs. Future on her birthday, including some choice moments from the celebration.  And our solar sun is in the news this week, sporting a huge black corona, unreal!  What could it mean or do? We take a closer look, and soon we are chatting about the various kinds of UV light, especially from the Sun! Flatulence comes out when reviewing some new research on how to make such gases smell like a rose, or at least like a piece of chocolate..I kid you not, this can be done, not simply by disguising the smell, but by swallowing a pill that changes your digestive process!  Why do this? That's another question; now lets look at the current SOLAR wind..

Meanwhile, robots cleverly disguised at humans will soon be entering our homes en mass, but like anything new, there will be issues. We think they'll be a bit like a bull in a china shop at first, and will require special care of their host humans.  Sadly, breaking things will be normal for awhile.. Mrs. Future plans to take them up on cooking and cleaning, and her favorite pastime, game playing.  Al wonders about the bedroom.. and you if are worried about your Tesla stock, worry no more, as soon, all new Tesla cars, with the flip of a software switch, can upgrade into a fully autonomous robo-taxis, ready to make you $$$ with your car! Our latest lunar lander, Blue Ghost, has just completed it’s 2 week moon mission, accomplishing 100% of it’s goal to deploy 10 different payload experiments, studying everything from the lunar dust to testing GPS signals and drilling deep into the regolith!  Not to be outdone, the Webb telescope has revealed CO2 in the atmosphere of distant exoplanets, orbiting the HR 8799 system, 130 light years from Earth. Could this be a life signature? Grok 3 helps us explore the possibilities more deeply, as well a new strange blue photograph of Mars with its moon Deimos in transit.  And there is news on Helium 3, mined from the Lunar surface, possibly the future fuel that will allow us to expand from a planetary to a solar system wide economy!

It's been an epic week for the Moon, with two lunar landings making it to the surface, one really succesful. The James Webb telescope has been busy tracking rogue brown dwarfs and we were wondering if they could be harnessed for star travel..Grok's Ara gives us a definitive answer.  Back on Earth Bobby discusses the latest hot  research in regrowing missing teeth and how we can stop greying hair and wrinkles -real practical science!  
In our AI experiments this week, author Jim Rintoul feeds our 'Larry and Mary' AI hosts a short story about Direct Brain Advertising. They gave us a hilariously serious report.. And we introduced two very smart verbal AI's, Ara (from Grok) and Miles (from Sesame) to each other to see what they had to say to a fellow AI. Both pride themselves on being good conversationalists. Ep.103 N:OW.2025.MAR04 Passionate Living Cat & Rifat Cameo, Ayahuasca Author Annelise Schinzinger Ibnterview

When creating our show, our guests are usually in their home environments, connected to us via Zoom or Facetime. But this week our mountaintop ‘fortress of solitude’ was visited by not one but three live guests in our studio at the same time! First up was a brief but wonderful check in by the Passionate Living TV folks, Catherine Miller and Rifat Chowdhury visiting from Buffalo, NY. They were here in California for a film festival and recording of future stories for their award-winning series on passionate lifestyles. 
And author Annelise Schinzinger made it up the hill to chat with us about her new book documenting her pioneering experiences in South America with Ayahuasca, a psychoactive brew used by Amazonian tribes for spiritual and healing purposes. Annelise’s experiences go back to the 1970’s, way before Ayahuasca was known  in North America.  I was particularly fascinated by her understanding of “burracheira,” the field of consciousness created by those sharing an Ayahuasca experience. It is also worth noting that she was the Portugese translater for scientist Dennis McKenna in his field research while in Brazil. She takes us on a most fascinating and insightful journey into some of the deeper mysteries of life and death. Enjoy!

She has recently completed “Contact from the Pleiades, 45th Anniversary Edition,” in which the original two photo-journal volumes from 1979 are combined into one book with a new forward by Shirley MacLaine, a prologue written by journalist Jamie Maussan, and a new introduction and preface by Brit Elders. We cover the whole story arc of how she first got involved with the case with her husband Lee Elders and Col Wendell Stevens,  to the evolution and popularization and proliferation of Pleidian contact experiences over the last half century. Ep.100 N:OW2025.FEB11 Microdosing for Health, Authors Jim Fadiman and Jordan Gruber

This week we start by catching up Bobby and his Costa Rican adventures, then some Future News.  Most of the show, however, is dedicated to our inteview with Jordan Gruber, who just finished co-authoring  the book, “Microdosing for Health, Healing & Enhanced Performance” with James Fadiman, Ph.D. We delve as deeply into the topic as you can get in an 80 minute interview.
First we look at the beginnings of microdosing psychedelics and its evolution to current protocols.The potential benefits of microdosing psychedelics seem quite extensive, from studies in depression to enhancing our abilities to learn new skills, like musical instruments or languages.  We explore a little of the ‘why’, such as increased neuroplasticity of the brain, and what substances work with microdosing (LSD, Schrooms) and which ones don’t (i.e. Ketamine, MDMA).  Citizen science plays a big role in the unfolding of this topic, as serious research takes time and money, and neither are readily availabe, for various reasons (which we discuss).For fun we ran the book through a local AI and had it answer a couple of our questions.
This book is partly the culmination of Dr. James Fadiman’s life work in the field of psychedelics, and includes many reports and correspondences that he has received over the 60 plus years he has dedicated to the topic. And we get into this deeply as with the advent of smart AI agents of all kinds just coming over our current event horizon. Should we treat them as people, after all they sound like they are.. It’s been a week of recovery, from the LA fires, and from our local Moss Landing big battery fire, and also including our health, as Sun and I have come down with a nasty cold, which is just beginning to ebb.  We rallied to bring you this week’s future news which includes the actual sound of a meteor hitting the earth, as well as updates on our local disaster.
